1921 – Founding

The company Ernst Kersten was founded. Main focus areas were:

  • Development and construction of winding machines for coils
  • Production of folding stairs for the German Federal Railway (Deutsche Bundesbahn)

1969 – Takeover

Werner Maraschnow takes over the Ernst Kersten company as owner.

1973 – Fusion

1977 – Independence

The company regains its independence under Werner Maraschnow as Maraschnow GmbH.

  • Construction of washing lines for window panes & automatic bookbinding machines
  • Development of chemical trays for photocopiers
  • Conversion of conventional machines into whirling machines for the electrical industry

1987 – Stupak Generation

Hans-Günter Stupak acquires the company shares. Under his leadership, the company gradually develops into a series manufacturer for the mechanical and electrical engineering industries.

Since 2014 – Today

Since 2014, his son Kostja Stupak has been leading the company.

While the focus was primarily on in-house device development until about 1987, today approximately 98% of manufacturing is carried out on state-of-the-art CNC machines. This development was driven by the consistent introduction of the latest CNC technology.
