Our History
Maraschnow GmbH has evolved through several stages from the "Ernst Kersten" company, founded on November 23, 1921, by Ernst Kersten.
1921 – Founding
The company Ernst Kersten was founded. Main focus areas were:
- Development and construction of winding machines for coils
- Production of folding stairs for the German Federal Railway (Deutsche Bundesbahn)
1969 – Takeover
Werner Maraschnow takes over the Ernst Kersten company as owner.
1973 – Fusion
Merger into the company "Röntgentechnik Dr. Warrikhoff". Production of X-ray equipment for pipe inspection.
1977 – Independence
The company regains its independence under Werner Maraschnow as Maraschnow GmbH.
- Construction of washing lines for window panes & automatic bookbinding machines
- Development of chemical trays for photocopiers
- Conversion of conventional machines into whirling machines for the electrical industry
1987 – Stupak Generation
Hans-Günter Stupak acquires the company shares. Under his leadership, the company gradually develops into a series manufacturer for the mechanical and electrical engineering industries.
Since 2014 – Today
Since 2014, his son Kostja Stupak has been leading the company.
While the focus was primarily on in-house device development until about 1987, today approximately 98% of manufacturing is carried out on state-of-the-art CNC machines. This development was driven by the consistent introduction of the latest CNC technology.
